National Foods Limited conducted a clean-up campaign exercise at Machipisa shopping centre on the 29th April 2016 as part of corporate social responsibility. The cleaning exercise was done by NFL employees who represented all departments. The event was honoured by the presence of City of Harare cleaning superintendent Mrs Mukudu, City of Harare Highfield councillor Mr L Mukunguma , Mr Mugadza from Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and Dr Chirisa (Company doctor).
60 community litter monitors from High-field also assisted NFL employees on the cleaning exercise. Participants worked tirelessly and gathered 300 bags of waste at designated points thereby making a practical contribution to improving the environment. Zimbabwe Republic Police was present for security purposes. City of Harare donated 2 bins and donated 3 NFL hampers to EMA and City of Harare. Lunch packs were given to all participants at the end of the cleaning exercise.
