Reporting to: Group Chief Executive Officer

The Opportunity

The Managing Executive will have full accountability for the strategic direction, commercial performance and operational success of the Pasta Business Unit. The role requires a visionary and commercially astute leader who can deliver sustainable growth, strengthen market leadership, drive operational excellence and inspire high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and capturing growth opportunities, enhancing competitiveness, driving innovation and ensuring the business consistently delivers superior results in line with the National Foods Group strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Business Unit’s strategic plan to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
• Drive revenue growth, market share expansion and long-term value creation.
• Lead all commercial, operational and financial aspects of the business to achieve agreed performance targets.
• Champion continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence and cost optimization initiatives.
• Drive product innovation and portfolio development to meet evolving consumer needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, industry stakeholders and business partners.
• Ensure effective risk management, governance, compliance and business continuity practices.
• Develop and lead a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and results.
• Identify emerging market trends and position the business to capitalize on new opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of delivering growth, leading teams and driving performance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. You combine strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking, operational excellence and the ability to translate opportunities into tangible results.

You are passionate about building successful businesses, developing people and creating lasting value for customers, consumers and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Food Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A postgraduate management qualification (MBA or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years’ relevant experience within a manufacturing, food production or FMCG environment.
• Significant senior leadership experience with accountability for business performance and strategic execution.
• Proven success in driving growth, profitability and operational excellence.
