The Zimbabwe Corporate Social Responsibility Network Awards are the Zimbabwe focused Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability accolades in the country. The awards are based on the contribution by the Private and Public sectors towards the attainment of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participants were mobilized from the diverse sectors and industries that have created positive impact towards Zimbabwe sustainable development and the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The awards were judged by a panel of industry experts who all bring a broad range of experience in the sector. The CSR Awards recognized the outstanding work of businesses that are engaged in making a difference in their communities they operate in. The CSR Awards were a chance for businesses to showcase their achievements in a variety of action categories, from volunteer programmes to environ-mental initiatives and more. The awards were open to businesses of all sizes en-gaged in CSR, from big Corporations to SMEs.
2018 CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AWARD
National Foods Ltd was the gem of the night bagging the coveted Zimbabwe Top Sustainable Company of the Year 2018 Award based on sterling efforts in the form of:
- Supporting 41 centres in vulnerable communities across the country monthly.
- Rebuilding 8 schools in Sanyati and Mhondoro Ngezi rural districts.
- Assisting Masvingo Province with $20,000 during the Tokwe Mukosi National Disaster floods.
- Donating $20,000 towards efforts to contain the Cholera Pandemic.
